Radiant Moon

supermoon

Moon so bright
softly glowing behind a fine silk veil
Spiderweb hazy white
yet your essence never pale
As stars dance in your moon beam light

Blanketed on an ocean blue
Above the earth your guiding glow
Sometimes hidden in a darkness hue
Your shadow cast on the earth below
As I spend my nights dreaming with you

What wishes will you grant this night
With your face aglow I see your smile
I close my eyes I squeeze them tight
I wish I may I wish might

Pray the world pure love from your radiant light
If only just this night

Journey

20140626-151857-55137241.jpg

Captured beneath a smokey red hazy sky, mesmerized

My attention and heart did follow

Sky aglow for as far as the eye could see

A beautiful sunset resting in her hallow

Red, pinks, some bedazzled grays

Imprisoned rainbows from this day

Quiet as they did sweep, silent

Across the land into the deep

Breathless, I gazed upon such beauty magnificent

She gently kissed the earth goodnight

With my hand to my heart

I was lost without word, simply grateful for such a sight

Too quickly she hurried

Whispering sweet promises of her next journey

Strangers visit

20140622-211341-76421158.jpg

They whispered as she settled
Who Is she ? why is she here?
The fallen tree transformed for her
Still strong her weight it bared

Rustle of leaves while branches swayed softly
Filtered sunshine sprayed all about
They waited in silence nibbling on tree bark
No one dared to shout

Then mistakenly the cardinal
Forgot as she sang her happy song
Scattered chipmunks ran for cover
Scared that something would go wrong

As all waited in dead silence
what on earth will happen now
The stranger smiled and closed her eyes
As she embraced the latest sound

Calmness swept across the crowd
No one spoke but everyone knew
This stranger comes in peace and love
To enjoy natures beauty too

Welcome from Nature

20140622-210652-76012947.jpg
Welcome guests and company
My home I’ll share with thee
I’ve prepared my house with comfort
A chair, a bench , a tree

My children are all playing
Please treat them kind and sweet
When you step upon my earthly floor
I’ll embrace your tired feet

There’s plenty to see and do here
Yet so many work away
The bees collect sweet nectar
From colourful offerings all day

A choir shall accompany you
To soothe away your worry
A song from scarlet cardinal
Singing no need to rush or hurry

The bullfrog chimed in the backdrop
Ants shared their log for awhile
My spirit connected with this home
My heart began to smile

As I breathed in this nature
I knew I could now never be alone
As I embraced the love of my new found friends
Forever welcomed in their home

Blue Skies

sky

Immersed into the eternity of above

Deep blue sea of tranquility

Floating like a butterfly

On a breath of

a young sparrow’s wing

I fly

Nature’s Redemption

20140425-210201.jpg

Her long yellow hair fallen ragged through winter

tucked under snowy mounds imprisoned till spring

with warm winds caressing gently lifting

begging crocuses and shy buds to bloom and sing

Heart heavy as winters wrath recent

I wondered why nature had unleashed so much scorn

too much beauty all mangled in just hours

lastly damage leaving me empty forlorn

Over small mountains I forged on defeated

this place grim faced, fruitless at best

sorrow filled my heart as I stood witness

natures wrath from a state of unrest

Of the corner my eye I stared speechless

deer rushing through brush so close by

I quickly smile as I see first witness

natures redemption

as spring breathes hello with a sigh

Gathering

20140324-232518.jpg

The town crier announced
Please come one , please come all
A festival of voice
a small gathering in town

Tis not for the judgemental
Hang that hat at the door
Today we unleash
All our passions with a roar

With the wind as our breath
We tapped the doors to our souls
Patient and timid
The first sound was soon born

Our spirits soon free
Gently dancing they flowed
All egos abandoned
Nudged , persuaded to go

I felt fear yet still giddy
What place do I stand
Arms swaying, people laying
Our voices the band

A new space I had entered
All were measured the same
Our bodies but vessels
Carrying our spirits this day

Nature shyly peeped through
Vibratory energy was abound
In collective conscience we soared
Invisible feet left the ground

Harmony welcomed healing
Each soul soon renewed
Namaste and good tidings
As our souls bid ado

Mother Earth

20140116-152623.jpg
Frigid wind howls lonely in the night sky
virgin icicles flash frozen
in a moment’s hush

With just one gasp of her winters breathe, encapsulated
crystallized diamond embellishes
heavy limbs with frozen tears

Beauty captured in transformation
perhaps mocking the innocence
of this spiritual essence

Hint and a promise only too soon
as early as the morning’s first ray
a witness to the last sunrise experienced

Freedom from this icy diamond
Burden and infliction heavy
on rooftops and limbs like a double edged sword

Natures beauty releases
wet teardrops glistening
rushing towards the mysterious

Unknown purpose
returning back to what heaven and earth call
Our Great Mother Earth

Everlasting

love

You never promised me a diamond
You never swooned me with control
You never swore to me you’d never leave
Or one day walk out that door

You never said how much you needed me
nor complained when I felt blue
You just held me close and kissed my head
Knowing those days I needed you

You quietly stand beside me
You hold me silently without despair
You never question me when I walk out that door
Yet I still know how much you care

The deeper that our bond seals
Without much intention from you or I
Proves how I know our love is pure
Everlasting throughout time

Infliction

When an infliction is too deep

It cannot bleed

The wound may superficially heal

On the outside stitched closed

Remaining significant

No amount of depletion offered over the years

Simply occupying time

Nostalgic, dusty books gather in grief laying

On the shelves of yesterday’s libraries

In the quiet, anticipating, witnessing

As the cold, unforgiving season

Brings joy to the world.
