She wraps herself
With lies to cope
His fists clenched tight, she loses hope
Her light grows dim
Yet she stays and smiles
His anger grows, she conceals his lies
She belongs to him
Like his kids and his bike
He says its love, yet her face he strikes
She hopes one day
She’ll take flight and be free
From her window she stares, her caged misery.
