Lost in the heavens above

Soft twists of cotton candy swirls in pink

Pale blue ocean bed I sink, sink, sink

Closing my eyes I drift, nothing to think of

Glorious perfect sunset

Daydreams near night I reside among stars

One foot on earth the other on Mars

Chased by a blanket of darkness I fret

My place on earth a place I see well

I halfheartedly cast my soul back in

The stars they call yet I delay my farewell

This life I carved one of original sin

Many lessons to learn as I ache and rebel

Till my day is my last and I no longer dwell.

Day in the Sun

I dreamed you last night
your smile as bright as the sun
ocean waves crashed playfully along the ragged rocks
as you skipped and hopped along the oceans edge, carefree

I experienced you last night
as though time had not erased the absence of your light
your voice sang out in laughter as we ran down the flatrock
hand in hand as real as my hand in my own, you were there with me

I felt the peace from your spirit last night
a weathered message in a bottle that washed upon shore

not a second to late as heavens time does not count years or tears

As now you are here with me once more

Looking back all these years I spent seeking
for a place I could find my loved ones
I’m wondering now if all this time you were just waiting
to show me this carefree place in the sun.

Spring Oasis

Spring Oasis

Sauntering without hindrance in consciousness

Sudden waves of lilac delight

Bourne of a sweet tempered breeze I inhale

Powerful auras and essence soon ignite

Fields of flowers, tall grass, background birds singing

Closing my eyes I can no longer resist

I feel myself floating on air to that place I know well

Only in my mind does this utopia exist

Happiness and laughter fill my oasis

Birth of life from all nature abide here

Lilac carries me on a cloud of joy

Perched above all sadness and fear

Immaculateness wafting from rows of white lilacs

Serenity encompasses my spirit with peace

Pink lilacs increase my self confidence

My inner spirit strengthened, absence of meek

The violets ignite my spirits passions

Storms of rapture to undo all the wrongs

At peace I repose with new purpose

As my oasis once again has helped me grow strong
