Gifts of Nature

 The epitome of our vision

Oh breeze oh breeze upon my face your breath so soft and free

My body yearns to feel thou breath which blows so warm on me

Oh breeze oh breeze with birds you fly as you lift them far and wide

A thousand feathers gently flock to you begging for a ride

Oh sun oh sun such glorious rays as you shine on flowers in bloom

All life does ask for your warming glow to save them from sure doom

Oh sun oh sun your hot healing fire makes the darkness go away

Each hour that you share your love, grey shadows never stay

Oh crystal waters fast and flowing over each mountains peak so clean

You quench my body and my soul nourishing every cell pristine

Oh crystal waters your precious drops quenching all life on this earth

Your raging essence and your awesomeness supports energy, life and birth

Oh earth oh earth under my body you heal as you energize me with your touch

When I lay upon your blanket green you fill my heart and soul with much

Oh earth oh earth my mother dear I thank you for holding me here

Without your love and your greatest force my spirit would fly up in the air

Each one of you does strengthen me and hold my mortal frame

As I enter one life from another I find your fire, wind and rain.

Season’s Change

end of winter

The path swirling muddy under my tired feet

beneath darkened clouds baby birds begin to sing

sun rays muffled , cold air dancing against the street

side walks stained wet with the hint of coming spring

Ice floats melting beneath mounds of blackened snow

playgrounds yawn as they emerge from their sleep

patiently I wait for the new crocuses to grow

and winters cold breath to slip away without a peep

Soon trees awaken from their sleep filled dreams

as new blossoms sprout excited, row by row

patient branch filled trees soon adorn new leaves of green

as bees and soft breeze cast new seeds of growth below

Seasons change as the world renews

casting out the old under promising skies of blue

Longing

With a glance my desire I confirm

How this longing in my body does stir

Fast rhythm of my heart skips a beat

As our hungry eyes meet

Cravings in an everlasting fantasy

Yet a non perfect world determines fate

Aching for just one taste of your lips on mine

Desires that hate to wait

Warming excitement proves fantasy does pay

As our body’s meet beneath my closed eyes today.

Life Long- A Love Sonnet

In the beginning I ached for your love

As your words hummed notes of every love song

In sleep or wake you were all I think of

Till my heart did beat this love is life long

Young love comfort sought just a loving glance

Where many years before love, wept in grief

Now you curled sleeping, oh such true romance

Less you hog the blankets from me in sleep

To look back at the years Ill not regret

Nor wish my life has been not this same way

For the years of my want will not offset

The gift of years I now have in gold weight

As you and I bond our love holds so true

For not one day have I stopped loving you.

Cupids Bow- A love Sonnet

One pierce from loves’ arrow sent my heart high

dear Cupid cast a gift from his red bow

weightless soaring through God’s lonely blue sky

Laced with bounties of love he would bestow

On that day we first met true love did soar

I pinched my own arm to startle my sleep

Then wondered if this new love would soon bore

yet love grew rich I fell deeper than deep

I knew that your love must be heaven sent

As I prayed to meet true love such as thou

Your love a bright spark of God He so lent

Just when I needed your love then and now

My faith restored in loves quest I believe

As Cupid struck hard that midsummer’s eve.

My Love & I ( 2007-till eternity)

Unleash Me

Tree revised

I’m travelling down a new path of adventure

A path much like I have walked before

My destiny precise with crisp eyes and clear vision

As I walk through that same steel framed door

This time the steel framed door just fell open

Flowers blossom and bloom along my way

The sunshine warming my subtle, shy hesitance

Fluffy clouds stretch to pull doubt and worries away

It is the same road but somehow now different

Something has changed this time from the last

The sun shines higher in the sky which is cloudless

Only today’s adventures will begin my new past

No heaviness can be felt upon my heart

a new babe who’s just born I feel free

My new life carved from the wishes I wish for

Watch our world,  move aside,  I unleash me!

KISS ME AGAIN

Passion withheld

Tormenting desire

Wanting so badly

My body on fire

 Tasting your mouth

Your soft lips oh so sweet

Longing all over

My will power weak

Temptation resistance

Confused with desire

Kiss me again

My body’s on fire!

HAPPINESS

Where does my happiness hide?

It hides in the courage of my heart

Especially whenever I dared to love another

It hides in the smiles of my children

Whom I am blessed with daily as their mother

Where does my happiness show?

It shows in my every line and in my every crease

My kind face carries my happiness with it I glow

It shows in my strength and in my courage

Outlasting the storms I survived along my road

How does my happiness sound?

Like the softest breeze that gives relief from the summer’s heat

The laughter around our kitchen table after a fight

That loud music that plays a melody to just the right beat

Or when the crickets click their wings in the darkest night

Choosing happiness to touch everyone I see

I’m gently awarded, my spirit free.

Caged Misery

She wraps herself

With lies to cope

His fists clenched tight, she loses hope

Her light grows dim

Yet she stays and smiles

His anger grows, she conceals his lies

She belongs to him

Like his kids and his bike

He says its love, yet her face he strikes

She hopes one day

She’ll take flight and be free

From her window she stares, her caged misery.

Hoping one day the world will find a way to end domestic violence!

Hungry Whiskers

His image fades as she frantically beckons to him
Behind her fluttering eyes, she lay asleep in a dream
The world alive in a place never seen
As hungry whiskers nudge her lazy eyes awake
Its dinnertime somewhere, please fill my plate.
